The elite men lined up at the start of the 100 km race on Wednesday, September 27 at 8:00 a.m. There were extreme conditions on the track - cold, mud, demanding technical sections combined with an elevation of over 2,750 meters made the race a cruel ride.

The Canyon Northwave team riders fought bravely with all the pitfalls and the best result is 6th place of Martin Stošek. Swiss champion Marc Stutzmann finished 7th and German champion Andreas Seewald was 12th.

Martin Stošek in the finish

"It was extremely hard race, I didn't expect any great performance after the illness, but it worked. The conditions were extreme, it was all on mud, so quite difficult and dangerous. At the beginning I was in the lead and the race was decided on the last hill. There I already felt that I am not in best shape. But I'm glad that I still managed to be at the front," said Martin, who is now waiting for off-season rest.

In the overall clasification, the best placed rider of the team is Martin Stošek, who was classified in 10th position, despite missing one race from the four-race World Cup. In 11th place was Andreas Seewald and 13th was Marc Stutzmann.
